Great walks and lasting friendships

Welcome to
The Western Walking Club Inc

Founded in 1937

As the longest established bush walking club in Western Australia we are a friendly, inclusive group who enjoy walks 52 weeks of the year and draw our membership from all over Perth and some country areas.

Every Sunday from May to October we conduct two walks which are of a varying distance and grading but each walk means we can enjoy a morning tea and lunch break on the track. The warmer months from November to April see one Sunday walk each week taking in both parks and foreshore areas of the suburbs.

We hold camps of different durations throughout the year plus leadership courses in map and compass reading. There are also several social outings offered throughout the year which allows members to bring along partners, family members and friends. By keeping our membership small we maintain a level of companionship that often results in long lasting friendships.

Our Club

The Western Walking Club is a not for profit incorporated club with a membership of over 100 people. We are affiliated with HikeWest (formerly The Federation of WA Bushwalkers), this ensures our members have insurance coverage when on club activities. Walks are organised throughout the year, mainly on Sunday.
